Electronic Timing Controllers (ETC) for 6000E Precision Lubrication Systems

No PLC? No Problem.

The 6000-ETC series of electronic controllers are engineered to pair seamlessly with the 6000E Precision Applicator, allowing operators to adjust lubrication output without modifying the machine’s PLC. The ETC includes its own pre-programmed PLC, delivering true plug-and-play installation and instant control.

The 6000-ETC controller replaces the traditional Air Pulse Frequency Generators used  with Minimum Quantity Lubrication systems.

Simplified Control.
Superior Consistency.

  • Precise, repeatable control over lubrication output

  • No need for complex PLC programming or additional wiring

  • Variety of programs to fit your application needs

  • Self-contained box to protect from harsh plant environment

  • Available in 24V or 110V versions with optional low-level indicator light

How it Works

Standard 6000-ETC

6000-ETC: Electronic Control for the 6000E Series

Our flagship ETC brings full electronic pulse-rate control to AMCOL’s 6000E Precision Lubrication Systems.

By electronically controlling dual solenoid valves—one for dispersing air and another for injection pulse rate—the system delivers unmatched control over lubricant output volume and timing.

Ideal For:  Sawing, Tapping, Drilling

Key Advantages

 • Digitally adjustable injection rate that displaces on-screen

• Quick setup using a single input control signal

• Reduces fluid waste and variability

How it Works

The controller receives a constant signal from the machine PLC. During the entirety of that signal, the ETC activates atomizing air and then sends intermittent signals to the pumps. The frequency of the pump cycles is adjustable and determines the lubricant output volume.

6000-ETC-FF

Forming & Fabricating 6000-ETC-FF

For applications that require intermittent tool lubrication.

The 6000-ETC-FF gives adjustability to how often the lubrication cycle triggers—every cycle, every other cycle, or every third—ensuring tools receive proper coverage while conserving fluid.

Ideal For:  Punching, Shearing, Stamping, Presswork

Key Advantages

• Customizable for various fabrication processes: ideal where lubrication frequency must adapt to part size, tooling size, or production requirements

• Flexible and adjustable: operators can easily fine-tune lubrication intervals and cycle timing to match changing process demands

• Reduced fluid usage: optimize lubrication frequency to maintain coverage while minimizing waste

• Safe and simple adjustments: all programming and setup can be performed safely outside of the machine guarding

How It Works

The 6000-ETC-FF receives a momentary signal for each machine cycle and uses that input to control when lubrication events occur. Depending on the ETC settings, lubrication does not need to trigger every cycle—spray frequency can be reduced to conserve fluid and prevent over-lubrication.  Operators can also adjust the number of injections and pump cycle duration at the push of a button, ensuring consistent performance and optimized lubricant usage across a variety of fabrication processes.

6000-VIC

Forming & Fabricating 6000-VIC

The Variable Input Controller (VIC) introduces variable-speed synchronization, dynamically matching lubricant output to line speed. This ensures precise control of coating weight and lubricant deposition even as process speeds change—without manual adjustment.

Ideal for: Roll Forming, CNC , Coil Coating, Continuous Rust Preventative Application

Key Advantages

• Adaptive lubrication: automatically adjusts spray frequency in real time to match line speed changes

• Consistent coating weight with uniform fluid distribution across variable production speeds

• Flexible integration: compatible with both encoder and analog speed inputs

• Safe and simple adjustments: all programming and monitoring occur safely outside of machine guarding

How It Works

The 6000-VIC continuously reads a live process-speed input and automatically adjusts injection rate to increase or decrease the volume being applied. Output of the 6000E Spray System adjusts precisely with line speed. This dynamic control ensures uniform coverage while preventing over- or under-lubrication at varying production speeds. This dynamic control ensures uniform coverage while preventing over- or under-lubrication at varying production speeds.

Available Versions:

6000-VIC-24-E: Encoder input (quadrature signal)

• 6000-VIC-24-A: Analog input (0–10 V or 4–20 mA)
